haskap berry U-Pick

The Haskap U-Pick season is usually the first 3 weeks of July. We will post the exact dates closer to the start of the U-Pick season which is dependant on the weather; rainfall, sunlight, temperature, etc. It's best to pick haskap berries in the morning when the skin of the haskap is the most resilient. It makes it easier to pick the berries without damaging them as they have delicate skin similar to a raspberry. 

What to bring for haskap berry U-Pick: 

Weather appropriate clothing; jacket, sweater, hat - typically the temperature is a few degrees cooler than in Kamloops and the bushes are in an open field with no shade. 

***Umbrellas are great for hot days.

Shallow container - a tall container can lead to the berries being crushed under their own weight. 

***We provide containers on site if you don't have your own. 

Blanket or towel - the berries grow low to the ground so it's helpful to have a towel or blanket to kneel or lay down on to stay clean while picking. 

Hand wipes or washcloth - the berries are juicy and can end up on your hands or clothing.

Cooler and ice - if you are transporting the berries a long distance we recommend a cooler and ice. 

Camera - we take pride in our pristine farm and beautiful surrounding valley, and we welcome picture taking. 

Water - bring your own water, and we also sell water and refreshments on the farm. 

After picking the berries, they are weighed at the market stand. U-Pick haskap berries are $6 per pound or you can purchase pre-picked fresh haskap berries for $10 per pound.
